Get out your deck gamers as it’s time to d-d-d-duel for this week’s remix.

I may not be the biggest Yu-Gi-Oh fan in the world—unless it’s the abridged parody—but even I have to admit that English dubbing made a great technoish hit with the opening theme. Remixer  MutantMixes seems to think so, as he decided to focus his remix efforts on the English opening.

And I’ve got to say, I think I like this version better than the original.

What’s impressive is how subtle the changes are. Sure, his rearrangement of the original song’s vibrant parts adds a more lively flair. But Mutant also essentially focused on the songs’ greatest strengths like the infectious bass line and drums birthed from the skin of The Prodigy’s Break and Enter. He’s made them much more prominent in this tune, which I believe gives it quite an awesome groove. Add in some vocals from the show for some dramatic seasoning, and in the end, you’ve got a coolly prepared audio dish.
